Staycation
by astanhaus
I am pro-staycation and anti-vacation. It is just a convenient coincidence that staycations are cheaper (AKA no need to pay for an airplane ticket & a hotel room).
Truthfully, beach vacations aren’t my thing. I don’t like sand. I don’t really like swimming, especially in water with wildlife. And I am easily distracted from reading my book because I’m watching the waves for a tsunami.
And why visit another world class city, when I already live in one? Honestly, I don’t always appreciate the museums and parks as I hurry to and from my apartment, office, and hot spots. My staycation is my opportunity to have tourist-y adventures in my own fab city.
Plus, I like proving to my Man I can pitch a tent—I just choose to pitch it inside.
Enjoy the change of scenery!
